What you should know:
McKinley Middle School became the second school to be closed by the Kanawha Board of Education this week, after members voted 5-0 Wednesday to shutter the school at the beginning of the 2025-26 school year.
Relief collections for victims still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Helene continue in western Kanawha County, as meteorologists warn of another potentially devastating storm hitting Florida.
South Charleston officials are seeking local businesses for a holiday social media campaign, and are asking for individuals and organizations to sign up for the city’s Dec. 7 Christmas Parade.
Tsubasacon returns to the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center on Friday, bringing three days worth of special guests, contests, vendors, panelists, cosplay and more to the area’s anime and gaming fandom.
