Down — but not (permanently) out
An unexpected outage
Hey neighbor!
Well, this was a bit unexpected.
I apologize for the recent absence of your daily Kanawha Valley Update. On Monday, my computer had an unfortunate technological malfunction that resulted in it processing its final bit of binary before crossing into the great ethereal yonder. Several days, three phone calls to Dell and hundreds of dollars out of pocket later, I’m one step closer to bringing back your weekday newsletter.
As it stands, I expect to be back to the regular daily publishing schedule on Monday, April 7, after the new machine arrives.
The Kanawha Valley Update newsletter and corresponding website is, and always will be, free. But as my recent electronic mishap suggests, the act of producing the daily briefings and web content comes at a price. If you find value in my sharing local news, events and more and could spare some change, would you consider gifting a few dollars to help offset the costs of keeping this free newsletter and website running? Anything and everything helps!
Talk to you again on Monday, April 7th — the Lord willing and the creek don’t rise!
— Michael Ramsburg, founder and editor of the Kanawha Valley Update
